Animal Farm
Today students began reading Animal Farm, George Orwell's allegory about the Russian Revolution and beginnings of the Soviet Union. Students were assigned an individual from the story to keep notes on and predict the historical figure/organization/idea they represent.

Rock, Paper, Russian Revolution
Today students looked at Karl Marx's theory of communism. We discussed conditions faced by workers as a result of the Industrial Revolution.
